what the heck?

Is it just me or are the player creation modifiers a little inaccurate? The players it creates are hardly major league quality, maybe triple A. Can anyone shed some light on this, or am I mistaken?

Are you basing your opinion on the reported number of stars or overall/potential numbers?

It's my opinion that the game is reporting that average to below-average players are poor, not that there really are too many poor players. (ie. players who should be rated 25-45 are being rated 20-22, making it look like there aren't enough major league caliber players.)

But really all I want to do is play.

So I'll try harder to be patient and hopefully the board will be patient with me.
And yes, I am still continuing my campaign to promote adding a 'mass select' option to Out of the Park 10.

i am basing it on both overall ratings and normal ratings. for example the batting contact ratings are way to low. the vast majority of the league i created contact was 4 (2-8) i don't think that is major league quality.

In the 2006 game that would be major league bench quality, or high AAA. 5 should be typical for an ML starter on a .500 club, so you may be right.

Please try briefly switching your rating scale to 1-100 and checking where those '4' guys group. If they're mostly 35-39, you do have a problem. If they're mostly 40-44, you probably don't.
