After an extremely long hiatus from these forums, I'm back in the realm of OOTPBB. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to participate much in beta testing because of other committments and major changes in my work responsibilities. But I was able to experience a number of the improvements and new features. The beta effort seemed like it produced some great results, and the positive reviews for the game seem to reflect this.
Now I'm finally able to devote some time to the game, and I'll be anxious to catch up on a lot of lost ground. And hopefully I can start enjoying all the game improvements and final bug fixes, particularly in historical play. The only drawback so far is the length of time needed to create a new historical game when including all past history. I upgraded to a new computer while I was away, but even my vastly improved specs are no match for whatever is now happening behind the scenes when creating a new historical game. But I guess it's worth the wait if you want the full historical backdrop for your league. Anyway, I thought I would say hello, and hopefully I'll find some time to post my ongoing thoughts and maybe join a historical league (if there are any good ones running). |

Oh. Well, I welcomed you back on the previous thread so that's it, too bad.

Welcome back around, Charlie. I've missed your 'to the point' assessments of the game. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with what you find this time around, but looking forward to your thoughtful critiques as always.

Welcome back, Charlie Hough.
Irrelevant side note: The real-life Charlie Hough was born on the same month in the same day of the same year as my father.
