Promoted twice in a few days in the minors

I assume this is a bug, or should I?

I managed a Rookie Team to a 65/100 finish. Team was happy, and promoted me to the Short Season A affiliate, who's season had not finished yet (by days). I did not realize it had not finished as i was simming a few major league games, as i figured my work for the year had finished. Word comes that i scored 55/100 on the Short A team and was being promoted to Single A. I had only been on the Short A list for a few days, and was getting the call as that season finished. The Short season A does not show up on my managerial history.
I deleted my mail after the Rookie season ended, but still have the next promotion mail. Seems like it would be an easy thing to reproduce.

Once last issue. Rookie regular season ends Sept 1, same time as Major league roster expansion. So my team gets ready to head to the Rookie playoffs, but not before the GM rapes my team and sends down the garbage as they clean house and release players. My team was left with 2 of my starting fielders and 4 of my pitching staff. No wonder my playoffs went down the toilet. Not a bug, but a hell of a slap when you spend the season getting ready for playoffs and have to try to finish with the throw away players.

The thing I hate about this is when, on September 1st rosters expand, so a bunch of AAA guys go to the majors. Why does the AI need to replace those AAA guys and bring up AA? Especially when there are no more games...that bugs me to no end!
