Finally, the last patch! I had given up on it.
My only regret is that mass select didn't make it in.

I've been gaming, Russ. My two reasons to be here are to pick up patches and to try and get needed changes made in future versions. If I stick around and talk about stuff much, no matter how interesting it is, then my gaming time suffers as a result, and I'm always happier gaming than I am discussing stuff.

True for me as well. May not seem like that, but most of my posts occur during normal business hours . . .

Gee, it sure is quiet around here now that the patch is out and gone. I can hear the wind whistling through the bare trees now. Tumbleweed rolls over the empty roads. Somewhere, a shutter is banging in the breeze. Sadly, I notice that the "P" has fallen off the sign so it now says "Welcome to the OOT Community!" Lonesome times have come again to these forums . . .

Now you're making me feel guilty.

I'm very disappointed that the playoff seedings for 8 team playoffs still have not been fixed. I set up a test where there were 4 division winners and 4 wild card teams in the playoffs. I had all of the division winners advance to the 2nd round. Unfortunately #4 played #3 and #2 played #1. In reality it should be:
4 vs. 1 3 vs. 2 I am very disappointed about this. This is top priority for me, and I hope that it is fixed for OOTP 9. Is there any way that I can request this to the game's creators? |

I would search through the Suggestions forum to see if it was mentioned there and whether there was any response. Depending on whether you find something or not, perhaps starting a new thread would be a good idea to call attention to your issue.

Here's the thread: Playoff seedings Maybe the easiest way to fix this issue would be to have fully customizable playoffs in the next game. You could choose your own playoff structure, and which teams pair off in each playoff round. Then you should be able to set the schedule accordingly. I would imagine that not too many people encounter this issue, because most people probably have the playoffs set up as baseball traditionally has, with only divisional winners and one or two rounds. But I would love to be able to do an NBA/NHL, March Madness, or a College WS playoff setup. Last edited by jg2977 : 10-20-2007 at 10:41 AM. |

Apparently, they had to triage in order to get done what they did accomplish; don't forget, this patch was five months in the making and they need to move on to developing the next version. I think Steve said that whatever did not make it into the patch would be on the drawing board for OOTP 9. However, I will end my speculation here and allow him to speak for himself if he sees this and cares to comment.

- TT #3802 Fixed issue when editing accomplishments, where the correct team name is not referenced when a team has relocated
Just curious, by this do you mean the accomplishments section in the history pages. I play an 80 games season so I never hit the 20 win, 50 HR, 150 RBI, etc, accomplishments and I was wondering if they could be lowered but I have never found anything on that. Is that the accomplisments section you are talking about or something else? |

So for example in a historical league if Cy Young threw a perfect game for the Boston Americans, if you looked at the accomplishments in 2007 he would have been listed against Boston Red Sox.
