Is www.ootpbaseball.net down?
I'm not able to get to the web page www.ootpbaseball.net which google finds first for "ootp baseball" search. Is it something on my end or the web site? Is this a permanent change?
Thank-you in advance. |

The .net domain is owned by SI [http://www.networksolutions.com/whoi...pbaseball.net] and since OOTP and SI have split, SI probably just took down the site.

I'm sure it would never occur to them to move beyond that first link. |

It is also linked to the forums---try clicking on 'Home' at the upper right of this page, and you end up trying to connect to the old, nonexistent .net site. Markus and the group do risk losing new customers if they don't make it easier to get connected to their new site.

Agree. Bonedwarf overestimates the attention span of most Internet surfers, and new customer opportunities will suffer accordingly if this situation continues. *
However, I'm sure that they are (or shortly will be) aware of the problem. There will probably be some bumps like this in the transition, but nothing show-stopping, I would guess. For example, this web site is still working: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/ I'm betting there will be renewed focus and enhancements to that site in the near future. * Edit: I don't know that much about it, but the search link to what is now the wrong web site may persist for a while; I don't know how quickly search engines respond to dead links. The nice thing would be for SI to redirect the domain name ootpbaseball.net back to ootpdevelopments.com, but I guess that would be asking for a bit much. ![]()

Some people really never will move beyond that first link.
