GM Score of 11?

I just completed my first OOTP season as a GM, going 91-71 and just falling short of 1st place in my division literally on the last day of the season (if I'd won the last game, I would've forced a tie for first). I sim through the playoffs and get my GM score - 11 out of 100?

WTF?!? Now granted, my team probably underperformed. On paper we should've been playing better, but we only hit .257 with an overall ERA of 3.76. We scored 705 runs and allowed 684. But that doesn't seem bad enough to warrant a score of 11!

I guess I'm lucky I didn't get fired. Sheesh. I'm curious what other people have gotten in their first year as a GM.

I had a team go 69-83. I got a 19. But my team had a decent amount of crappy players. I got this score last night

EDIT: This is my 300th post. Hooray for the Majors!

Finances also play a role in your GM scoring.

Your team sounds amazingly lucky
Your Pythag record must have been only around .535 or so
To be 20 games over .500 is quite a bit of luck

Our Pyt. Record was 83-79 - and with the team we had on paper (picture an approximation of the 1970 Orioles), we should've at least made the playoffs. Injuries and underachievers killed me.

So yeah, we weren't as good as we should've been - but I found the 11 a little insulting for my first try as an OOTP GM.
