How Do You Install Stadiums?
Please help me install stadiums.
I am in the preseason period of my first year of the league (league date 1/2/2001). I have searched the forums, read the manual and also posted the help request in the Mods and Logos subforums and have not gotten a definitive answer. It would seem that you should only have to put the stadium name in the ballparks folder and on the team page, listing the name of the stadium. I went to My Documents >Sports Interactive > OOTP Baseball 2007 > data > ballparks. In the folder are the default grass and default turf stadiums labeled this way: default_grass and default_turf I put the name of the ballpark into as follows: Derby Downs Do I have to put a space bar between each word? Derby_Downs Do I have to include the graphic format? Derby_Downs.jpg I have tried various combinations and only get a black screen with the defense boxes on the ballpark editor screen. Or do I have to go to the active league game folder and put the stadiums there? When I go there, I see no folder for ballparks. There has to be an easy solution to this. I hope you can help me out. Thanks. Last edited by Eugene Church : 11-27-2007 at 06:31 PM. |

I put a stadium named "Derby_Downs.jpg" in the ballparks folder.
(I went to My Documents > Sports Interactive > OOTP Baseball 2007 > data > ballparks) I then opened up the league and put "Derby Downs" as the stadium name on the team's ballpark profile editor screen. In "Picture and Coordinates" I put "Derby_Downs.jpg" for "Daytime Picture" and "Nighttime Picture". I hit "enter" as per instructions both times. The stadium picture did not change. Anyone have any ideas on what I am doing wrong? What is the correct way to encode the stadium name? |

I'm not sure if you're on a Mac or PC but on my Mac I have to hit "Return"... not "Enter." See if that works.
PS. Thanks for the great news stories! -Kuttner

Problem solved...finally.
All you have to do is put the name of the stadium...without underscore between words...and add .jpg to it on the team page in the game...see detailed description in this post. VOILA! It works! Many, many thanks to reds1. Complete procedure to install stadiums: Put stadiums in the ballparks folder...just use the actual name of the stadium as "Yankee Stadium"...to find it go to My Documents > Sports Interative > OOTP Baseball 2007 > data > ballparks. Then open up your league and go to the Team Page Home and Options > Click Edit Stadium (at the bottom right of screen) > Enter name of ballpark in "ballpark name" > click "pictures and coordinates" > In the "daytime picture" box enter ballpark name with .jpg added to it (be sure to hit "enter") > In the "night time picture" box enter ballpark name with .jpg added to it (be sure to hit "enter").
