Designated For Assignment

I'm kind of new to the game, and also am not real familiar with the deeper rules of Baseball.

I now have 3 players that have come to the end of their `DFA' period.

I guess I have to assign them to something, but I don't know what.

I already have them assigned to the 40 man roster, but OOTP8 will not let me finish the day.

Does this mean I have to assign them to the Active 25 man roster?

A player cannot be left on the DFA list forever. The DFA is sort of a "holding tank" for players either being demoted from your active roster to the minors or coming on to, or off of, your secondary roster.

You mention that you have already assigned the players to your secondary roster. That probably means that you just signed these players or acquired them in trade. Now the game is waiting for you to either assign them to your ML roster or demote them to the minor leagues (if they can be demoted; some players have the right to refuse based on service time).
