Can I Do This?

Have a question I hope someone can guide me on.

Can I export rosters from an old league dated 2004 and import them into a new league dated 2008? Without their ages changing?

Thanks in advance.

PTK, your question sounds very similar to what was asked in this other thread:

Roster Transfer

I think the same responses apply.

Thanks, Yanks. I don't care about contracts and that stuff. I'd be starting the league from scratch with a larger setup and want to start the league dated 2008 instead of 2004 as it is now.

I guess I'll try and mess around with it. What it looks like I might have to do is export rosters dated 2008. Change all the IDs to a very high number. Import the guys from my 2004 set and then delete the original 2008 guys. Or maybe that won't work either. Guess I'll find out

Thanks again.

Sounds like it may be possible, if you do enough work. Don't forget the team ID's must match up as well.

If you know how to import the files into Excel, do the sorting and editing, save them as CSV files, and change the extensions back to .TXT, then you will save much time.

Also, since you don't care about existing contracts, you can always hit the Make Fictional Player Contracts and then the Assign Fictional Financials to Teams once you have all the players in place.

Thanks for the input. I'll advise as to whether this works or not.
