Rule V Draft

I'm playing in 1931 and my league schedule says the Rule V draft isn't happening until 2009. It's advanced a year from 2007 since I started playing in 1929. But it never seems to happen. Can anyone help me out with this? Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere that will allow the Rule V draft to happen?

Any advice would be appreciated.

This was a problem in OOTP07 with quickstarts so you may have an issue there. I thought it was fixed with the last patch and perhaps 08 as well. I don't know what version you are running but that could be an issue. Also, I'm not sure if quickstarts made with the older versions would be fixed by updated. Other than that, I really cant help much.

Thanks, I started the game with the original 8 download and am now in 8.0.0.13. Can't remember if it was a quickstart or not.

I created my league with 2006, and after the first rule V draft where no one took any player there was never another (it scheduled it for the following year every year). Then after 2 seasons played in v2007 it fixed itself somehow.

Short version: I dunno.

For my league I haven't tried to implement the rule 5 draft until recently (year 23) and I can't click the option in the league setup page.

Tinkering around this a bit, it appears to me that you have to be in Pre-Season (starts Jan 31st) for the Rule 5 button to activate. You may check it out and see if it works the same way in your game.
