The AI Prospects and Waivers
Is this ever going to be a focus? 8 team 1 league 3 levels of minors fictional.
1-20 ratings, no scouts or coaches I shop the first pick of the 2030 draft around. 24 year old Jose Escobar - LF 10 CF 2 RF 5 Current 12-15-6-8-9 Talents 16-16-19-11-9 Boston offers their best pitching prospect: 21 year old Paul Cleveland Endurance 12 Current 8-7-9 Potential 14-13-14 Escobar was just added to the 40 man roster and has 3 options remaining. Cleveland was drafted just last year and is in AAA, not on the 40 man roster. Boston trades for Escobar and then promptly puts him on waivers. I claim him just to see what happens. No other teams below me attempt to claim him and I am awarded the player 2 days later. I trade him back for a 34 year old A ball outfielder. They designate him for assignment again and this time no other team claims the player and then they assign him to AAA. On the 40 man roster in AA is OF Jesus Martinez. He's 30. Current 8-11-6-10-7 Talent 9-11-7-12-7 2 days after they designated Escobar for the second time they designate Martinez so they can add a MR to the 40 man roster. Seriously, can this become a focus of development? A. It's probably a bad trade to start. B. Why are they designating a player for assignment that they are trading their best prospect for. If the 40 man is full then don't trade a player not on the 40 man for a player who is on the 40 man. C. Why are none of the other teams claiming this player? D. Why would they designate Escobar instead of a 30 year old minor league scrub in AA. I'm on my knees begging. Please improve this. |

I have to admit the @$$hole in me would probably just keep him rather than trading him back.
Nice to see former Royal GMs getting jobs though ![]()
