In setting up historical leagues it is an option to recalculate ratings based on a players real life season instead of having a player develop by his talent ratings.
So Babe Ruth becomes a great hitter instead of you having to move him from pitcher to hitter the game will automatically do it. If you want close to historical accuracy i would recommend using it and i beleive using 3 years as the recaculation base is best. I have heard that it wouldnt be very good to use 1-2 years. Anyways i have always used the recalc function since markus put it in the game and for historical players its one of the best features in the game. Because players like Sandy Koufax isnt very great at first but then he usually turns into a dominate pitcher.

Thanks, Baseball Man,

Where do I find the recalc function in the game? Is it under game setup?

Thanks again!
