Turning financials on in an existing league
I'm thinking I may want to take a crack at a league with financials turned on. Is there a way to turn financials on in an existing league that has it turned off? Also looking for any ideas, tips etc. for a newbie starting out in the financial world. Thanks

During preseason, you can go to League Setup, Rules, and Enable Financials.
What you will see at first is all your players have one year minor league contracts - see the first set of screen prints. Once the season starts, however, they all get converted to minimum salary one year contracts - see the second set of screen prints. Once these contracts expire at year-end, you will have a free agent frenzy with much higher-salaried contracts being negotiated and signed. In some situations, this could upset the financial balance of the league. When you start a new league with financials on, the game adjusts the market sizes and media contracts to fit the player salaries. I am not sure if this happens when you start financials after a few years, but I would guess that this adjustment does not happen automatically. If you see some teams suffering financially, you can go to Functions and click Assign Fictional Financials to Teams. I would do that in the next offseason or preseason, when all of the new contracts have been signed.

Ha, it may take a while before Mr. Hardy cheers up now that he's got a better contract. Hmmm. Seriously, that may be a good reason to do it your way rather than waiting for the FA process. Was Hardy suddenly annoyed by the minimum salary contract? (The indicators show that it was team and player performance making him unhappy, however.)
