Ok I can't get Face Gem to work what's wrong?

I reinstalled OOTPBB 07 and the patch and started a new league, I said I wanted Face Gem and filled out all the appropriate material, but, when I get to the actual play all the face gem stuff is blanked out and it says I have to set it up in preferences which tells me there are more options in setup. lol Reminds me of the run around I get with publishers and developers and hardware mfgs when trying to get a game to work. Even after a restart as preferences tells me these * options require Face gem still does not work and everything is still blanked out at that window. Did I forget to do something??

Ok I have discovered if I DON'T install patch 2.03 then Face Gen works. As soon as I install patch 2.03 then it doesn't. If that helps any?!
