How do I delete a league
I am playing a MLB game in ootp 2007, and I want to delete the Japanse baseball leagues to speed up the game somewhat.
However I dont want to delete the league only to have a massive amount of good players on the free agent list. The only option to deleting the league I see is one where all the players go into the free agent pool. Any one know how to solve this problem? |

Nobody has answered you, so I'll take a stab at it. You want to eliminate all the Japanese players, correct? Since we don't have multiple selection / mass deletion yet, you want to ultimately use that "delete all free agents" button to eliminate them. Trouble is, FA players that you want to keep will go with them.
The suggestion that I have read in the past here is to move the desirable free agents temporarily to a minor league team roster; you may have to lift the roster size limit for that league in order to do so. Delete the Japanese league, delete all FA players, then move the remaining FA's back into the FA pool. Edit: When I say "move the desirable free agents," I mean going in as commissioner to each player's Editor page and selecting the minor league and team that you want to temporarily assign him to; later, you return him to the major league free agent pool the same way. This sounds like a lot, but it's less work than deleting hundreds of just-released ballplayers from the league that you deleted, one by one. Edit 2: Thought of something else. Obviously you want to do this not at the peak free agent season, but in preseason when most of the desirable free agents have been taken off the market. Perhaps at that time you have only a few dozen left in the free agent pool that you want to keep. Preseason also gives you the opportunity to add a temporary team to move them to, which may be helpful in keeping them separate. Just remember to delete that temporary team again before proceeding, or you will have roster and schedule issues.
