I have no interest in setting up a baseball league that covers Europe, does that mean Markus shouldn't make it possible to do so? I would have to say no, even though it makes no sense to me to do so, but others like it, so why should I argue to make the game less enjoyable for them?
Yeah but........

....sound?

The whole, "it's OK Marcus keep up the good work" thing is maddening to me sometimes. I'm assuming Marcus is getting paid, right? I'm assuming he is probably over worked also. So am I, so are many of us. What this has to do with the game is beyond me. I've never met Marcus, but I will also assume he is an adult and doesn't need to be protected from the rest of us "crazies" by the Marcus, Marcus, Marcus, people. Let me say this again for the 300th time. I love the game. Even though my only two seasons have crashed before they were finished. But that is another issue. We pay for the game. Unless everybody else is getting it free or as a favor. If so, please let me know who I contact. In the meantime I'll be the customer and OOTP can be the business where I'm purchasing goods, and as a customer I will continue to say my peace as the customer. Thanks. And Marcus, keep up the good work.
who is this Marcus you keep referring to?!? Markus Heinsohn is the lead designer and developer of Out of the Park Baseball.

Is it really that difficult to spell his name correctly?!?

Don't mean to pick on you, but your use of Marcus was the most egregious thus far...

WHy do you get all defensive when people are not talking positive about ootp?

People like you is why the game never gets improve and the same bugs are repeated from version to version because your afraid to express your opinion on things that is wrong with the game.

I asked that everyone spell Markus' name correctly and I'm getting defensive about the game?!? Now I know why you just repeat what everyone else says instead of having any original thoughts.

If you bothered to check your facts, you would see I am equally critical as supportive and have been since OOTP2. IMO, the best version of the game was OOTP4. I enjoy all the new features since then, but miss the simplicity and control I used to have. Sure it's still there, just takes about 10 times as long to do things. I no longer play solo leagues and have stated such numerous times over the past couple years. I've betatested, helped countless people with the game, and posted issues and bugs with each version. What have you ever done to advance the game?!? Parrotting other people's negative viewpoints is not helping the game or anyone.

Can we all just stop fighting and arguing and just agree that the update list is intriguing to say the least and that we can't wait for more details?

To keep the fighting going I am going to say that the list actually is not very intriguing at all. On the other hand, the kind of sort of hint that pitcher model is being worked on certainly is.

More fantastic grammar and spelling. I am really ashamed of the state of education in many areas throughout the nation.

If you're including my post in with the fantastic grammar and spelling, then I'll just say that it's super early in the morning and I haven't slept yet. Somehow it's the only time when I post stuff on the forums though

The time we all spend playing OOTP is time we're not finding the cure for cancer. Since every unproductive moment is a tragedy, this whole game shouldn't exist.

All I'm saying is, that if we're going to waste our time not curing cancer, the least we can do is not spend any of it on sound.

Just a small question

When the opportunity to pre-order OOTP 9 comes around will we get an exact date for the release of the game?

I'm rather excited about the prospect of sound being included in the next release.

WE aren't wasting time doing anything. Markus is the one developing the game. Last I saw, he didn't come here to ask if those of us who will purchase the game wanted sound or not. It's gonna be in the game.

At least OOTPB is still being developed. Eastside Hockey Manager, also by Sports Interactive, has been shut down. EHM is easily as good a game as OOTPB, but it's fans will never see a new version again.

I agree with this. The excuse of confusing him with Marc Duffy is gone now that Marc is not around (as much).

I'm all for sound as long as it includes an organ player banging out tunes in between innings. I don't want any of this canned P Diddy crap either. Maybe Harry Caray can sing Take Me Out to the Ballgame during the 7th inning stretch?

I don't like the sound of that.
