That screen is set up much like v6 was!

But PLEASE give us more skins than that monstrocity.

I like the old school look. Bringing back elements of OOTP6 that really rocked!!!!

Thanks, Markus! (first stars come back...now the standings/leaders..what's next?? Fictional and Real rookies in the same draft?)

I personally would like the news headlines on there, too... but maybe that's just me.

There is a lot of space under the standings boards.....

There wouldn't be as much space for a larger league. My FBL is 2x3x6, and I would like to make it 2x3x8 someday, if sim speeds get fast enough ...

I would too and if it came down to leaders or news I think I'd pick news. I really like reading the news as soon as it happens. I'm not so big on going to another screen for it.

The only thing is if you've got a much larger league there's probably not much room for news. Only showing a few of the latest news and leaving a scrollbar for the rest when you've got a large league could do the trick.

I do prefer this layout of the wider standings over the narrow of the other simming screen.

You probably don't need the news to be the two columns wide under the standings, though, you could have it only 1 column underneath and then have something else under the other side like say the upcoming schedule!

Interactive Online League Directory - find or advertise a league today! (now OOTP9 compatible, thanks for the space jazzrack!)
Canadian Baseball League - a recent OOTP9 convert, but running steadily since April 2002
SGCBL - a Lord of the Rings themed league with a very friendly membership and a commish constantly looking to improve the smallest of things

I realize it's a test league, but even if you double the number of teams, there's still room under there.

Like kq said above, a scroll bar could do the trick.

And I LOVE the idea of the news in one column and the schedule (including scores for played games) in the 2nd column.

There is, but you can reach of point of information saturation on a screen designed to give you 'highlights.' Personally, I think this is a good space to use for a customized graphic or league logo. If we could get the size that was applicable we could put anything in there we thought worthy, e.g. a player pic or our own news story, etc... and rotate them as desired.

Could you have the wild card standing beneath the divisions?

Ah, that's true. Forgot about the wild card. Yeah, that pretty much eliminates all that space if you've got a 24+ team league and a wildcard.

So, nevermind about that space.

I would still like to see the news headlines, though.

I think in the future, it would be cool to have a widgets type ability, so that we can customize the interface and just drag and drop stuff to different screens. If we want standings and news on one page, we can drag and drop a standings widget and a league news headlines widget. But that's probably an idea for OOTP 12 or something, perhaps.

My first thought also. With standard MLB standings and wildcard the screen will be full.

Personally, I find the wild card information annoying and cluttered. I want to be able to call it up when I want, but I don't want it on the screen every time I look at standings. That was one of the optional views I enjoyed in 6.5< where you could select standard settings, wild card, and one additional that I don't remember for your standings views.

Yeah, I think the other view was "expanded standings." It think it showed record in 1 run games, extra innings, home/away, and team averages (batting, ERA).
