No Scout Finds?
16 team league online league w/ full minors, Mexican and Japanese leagues. We have gone a full season with 0 scout finds. Not unusual? Unusual? Bug?
I run another league with a number of foreign teams and we made a point of increasing the talent level of those particular countries. We also have a lot of scout finds in this league so I'm a bit concerned why we aren't seeing any in the other league. v.2008

Nope, that option is selected. Maybe using feeder leagues has something to do with it?

Which countries are you scouting? My understanding is that if you scout a nation which has a league, you won't find any hidden players- the idea being that the players you might find aren't hidden, they're playing. But I don't play with multiple nation universes, so I haven't tested that. I did compile data about frequency of finding hidden players (in a USA-only league) here:
International Scouting Experiment That's a really long thread, but basically, when scouting a nation with 'Excellent' baseball quality, each scout should find three players per year on average, with a fair bit of variability. The only factor that seems to matter is the 'baseball quality' rating of the country- country population, and scout ratings don't seem to make a difference. You'll find fewer players in nations with lower baseball quality. That was from one of the later patches of OOTP-2007, though, and I suppose frequencies might have changed in a more recent version. |

it's faded out because you can't change it after the league has started.
I've found that sometimes it takes a while to find prospects. I'll have a year where I didn't find anything, then 3 one year, just depends.

If I were the commish, I'd make a copy of the league, sim out a few years and see if any are found.
