Totally Clean Reinstall
In dealing with some issues, I've discovered that a normal uninstall of OOTP doesn't take everything out. Some key information is retained on the computer, I assume so that if you're doing an uninstall/reinstall as a program reset, you won't lose everything. My problem is, I think some of that retained info may be the source of the problem. Is there a way to do a totally clean reinstall, maybe after moving the receipt and license files elsewhere, in the hopes that whatever is causing these problems will be deleted? (It's a cross-league problem that even recurs in newly created leagues, possibly tied to the human manager function, described chaotically at http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...sta-crash.html.)
Thanks. |

Try msicuu2.exe. See link below
Description of the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility I used it to get a Palm synchro issue resolved in Vista. It worked well. Beware, it is a powerful utility with almost no safeties. You could wipe off good installs if not careful.

![]() I just ran it on my system and it doesn't list either game. I have both installed. I'm lost, I expected it would list everything.

According to something Andreas recently posted in the beta forum, OOTP doesn't (or isn't supposed to) alter the registry except to add eLicense stuff. So it's entirely possible that OOTP8 won't show up in a program that scans the registry for installation information.
To do a full uninstall, you simply need to delete the game folder (C:\Program Files\...), the visible folder in My Documents, and the hidden (by default, anyway) folder in application data. If your problem is related to eLicense, though, there's no easy fix.
