OBP and SLUGGING AVERAGES

I know .275 plus is considered good foe hitting, what would OBP and Slugging be thanks.

I would say something like .350 OBP and .450 SLG.

That would get a player in the .800 OPS range which is considered good.

Obviously, guys with a .550 SLG would be the better power hitters and have those .900 OPS numbers.

There are a lot of factors to be considered here.

What are the league averages?

What are the averages by position? Yadier Molina is an exceptional catcher, and can easily justify a major league spot, even with lower OBP and SLG values.

In the dead ball era, runs were scarce as all get out. You just did not find sluggers in the modern term.

It is all relative.
