Excluding teams from an expansion draft
I expanded my fictional league in 2022 by adding two teams and am thinking of expanding again in 2026 to add two more.
I'm wondering is there anyway that my first two expansion teams can have their entire organization protected for the second expansion draft/be excluded from the expansion draft? The first expansion teams just won't be all that strong overall even four years into existence, it just seems cruel to have them lose some of their roster to an expansion draft. Hopefully I've explained this okay, does it make sense? Is it possible? |

Not possible to exclude teams from the expansion draft in game.
The only way I can think of that you could accomplish this is to do your expansion draft offline and then manually move the players to their new teams afterwords.

The more I think about it, by the time the second expansion comes the two former expansion teams will have amassed very good farm systems, so they will probably only have ~25 at all decent players anyway, so it shouldn't be that big of a deal/they can protect most everyone of worth... |

Well, I don't think Florida and Colorado were excluded when Arizona and Tampa Bay came into existence, and they were only five years apart. Four years should be enough time to reach some level of stability for an expansion team.

Maybe this should be an option in future versions though?
