A player in obvious need of anger management..

Friday, October 31st, 2031: Off-Field Accident Injures Nick Crochet
The Albuquerque Isotopes told reporters this morning that Nick Crochet has a torn back muscle and will be unable to play for 16-17 months while the injury heals. He suffered the injury while angrily throwing his controller after losing in a baseball video game.

"It was an unfortunate accident," said the Isotopes public relations director, "Hopefully Nick will soon be back with the club."

Crochet has played in 207 games and posted a lifetime .261 average. He has 175 hits, 34 doubles, 2 triples and 15 homers. In addition he has driven in 77 runs and scored 102 times."

Turns out to be a career-ending injury. I'd sue EA Sports.

That's quite a way to wrap up one's career.

Nick Crochet? Nice name.

I was very, very highly amused when, sitting up at 3am once again with the game that's been eating my life for the past week, I found myself facing a gentleman named "Gotobed." I didn't take the hint.

I was so tired in the morning. Should have listened to Mr Gotobed.

I guess I need to teach the kid how to angrily throw a controller after losing in a video game. I've had lots of practice.

That's sew unfortunate for him. I wonder if he needed any stitches. At least he'll have a good yarn for the grandchildren some day. Why would the PR director say he'd hope Nick would be back soon if he knows he's out 16 months? Sorry, I know that's knit-picking.

Lets see if Crochet(and OOTP) mirrors real life, Crochet will come back and immeadiatly dislocate his finger while throwing the ball. That injury will finally heal, only to have Crochet get injured attempting to save his grandmothers possessions from a wildfire----Zumaya

At least it's not as bad as the players who get beat up by their wives. It's still really funny, though .

Found this in Zumaya's entry in Wikipedia..

I just came across a 'Michael Gotobed' in one of my leagues as well. I figured someone else must have come across it as it had 'inside joke' written all over it.
