I just performed a custom replacement of SION for some online leagues using nothing more than Notepad. All traces of SION were obliterated and overwritten by the desired name. The file name is english.xml.

OBN sounds the most unintrusive to me.
This is my take, as well. It would subtly annoy me (not so much as to not play the game, of course) if it said "WON" everywhere, so out of the listed options I'd say OBN would be my preference.

HOWEVER - I'd consider something that trumpets the customization features. Perhaps BSN (Baseball Sandbox Network)? Hmm - it may sound too juvenille, so what about OBCN (OOTP Baseball Creations Network) or just OBC (OOTP Baseball Creations) instead?

Me too. I got a great thing in Razorblade's banners, and I understand things need to be hard coded, but I also think that a majority of us would like to be able to edit our scouting organization's name and news source. That said, I voted for WON, but am agreeing with the WOBN suggestion made and seconded by a few in this thread.

I voted for OBN, but I would prefer OSN: OOTP Sports Network. Thanks for asking!

I like OSN as well, if we have to choose a default one.

OB-GYN for short.
That's exactly why I would not vote for OBN. That's the first thing that popped into my mind, and I find it very disturbing that Dagrims and I thought alike even for a brief time ().

actually , I think it should be WOBN (Worldwide OOTP Baseball Network)
Yes to WON, but not to WOBN which I would see forever as "woebegone" which reminds me of my style of play.

(Actually, although I don't like OON which sounds Dutch to me for some reason, I do like redsoxford's TOON; however I know that a 4-letter acronym would be VERBOTEN for programming reasons anyway. )

(Wait a minute, SION was four letters. TOON! TOON! TOON! Despite my vote. But WON is OK, too. Toon.)

What about OBNN, just to make it blend in with the rest of the game.

This is the best solution - imo. I support it.

I'd go with OOBN for OOTP Online Baseball Network. It sounds the closest to OOTP. It doesn't sound right not to say the "OO" and OON just sounds too short. OOBN has a nice ring to it.

I quite like OBNN too, but I think I prefer OOBN by a hair.

EDIT: And my thanks too for opening this up to a poll!

I'm just being picky - and I'd probably just go the Raidergoo route anyway - but I don't like any usage of "online" in the acronym. Of those mentioned, I think I like BNN the best.

OSPN - OOTP Sports Network/News

Yes, my prior silliness aside, BNN sounds best of all.

I like OBN and I'd take BNN over anything else on the list.

""

Dislike the "online" part and dislike the "global"/"worldly" part. It's too bad if it is "global" because not every league is global. Make it as generic as possible like "Baseball News Network" or OSPN (OOTP Sports Network).
