Hey guys,
we want so replace SION since we no longer are associated with Sports Interactive... so, we need a new name for our fictional news network in OOTP. SISA was already named OSA (OOTP Scouting Association) ![]() So, here's what we came up with, what do you prefer? Or do you have another idea? Cheers, Markus |

I like WON the best. It just sounds so....global.
actually , I think it should be WOBN (Worldwide OOTP Baseball Network) Too late to change my vote though Last edited by SDtwin : 04-11-2008 at 05:31 AM. Reason: Changed my mind |

I like OBN. I can make believe it's "Online Baseball News" or something.

Okay, here's my in-depth analysis. The acronyms look like we're playing Blockbusters.
ION, I don't understand the connection so that's out. A bit like OON, which is the pronunciation of the opposite of out in the Highlands of Scotland. Nothing against Scottish people of course, but it's not exactly a baseball heartland. OBO, well you do play it but it is a musical instrument, so eh, and WON, well you obviously haven't seen me play any sports sim games. My write-in would would be Sportsworld, or something Sports. Wasn't the original OOTP called OOTP Sports? If not I'm going to have to vote OBN for no real reason, because it's the only one I can't think of a lame joke for at this time. Plus the full name makes the most sense to me. |

I voted other - Would it be possible to have it customizable for the individual user?

Yeah!
I'd look forward to hearing what the OB-GYN has to say about my team!

I like OBN or WON (I voted for WON)...
to make things even more confusing I like "WOBN" that SDtwin mentions above.

My complaint about WON is that it bothers me when acronyms form words that could conceivably mean something else within a given environment. Like I wouldn't like to call a medical research study on surgery SCALPEL. Since "won" is a real word that comes up quite a bit during talk about baseball, I can't vote for it. OBN sounds the most unintrusive to me.
