Changing ballparks?

I want to have era accurate ballparks for the 1950's. Is there a place I can download something or something that I can edit myself?

You might try this site (you can download data for 500 stadiums for OOTP.

All Sim Baseball

Good luck.

Keep in mind that OOTP has stated the ballpark dimensions are entirely cosmetic, as are the ballpark pictures. The only direct statistics are the Ballpark Factors which are located just above where you would input the heights & distances.

Secondly, additional factors would be Player Creation Modifiers and League Totals (both of which can be found in the League Setup tab under Strategy).

Please let us know how you decided to proceed. Good Luck.

By working together and sharing with each other, we can add to the great body of work created by Markus.

Well said Ambermonk, when I first stumbled upon OOTP and was struggling to fully get to grips with the game I got an extraordinary amount of help and encouragement from the old hands on these boards.

My sim keeps resetting my ballpark factors each year. Is there a hidden setting somewhere that will stop this? Reentering them each year is getting a bit tedious.

The best thing to do is backup the stadium.dat and copy it over the new one the game creates each year. You may manually have to updated the ballparks if they change but that is no big deal

Also, the link to my stadium chart should be in my signature. Can't remember if the one they gave you is the most updated especially since the newest version has some updated features.

thanks, I'll give that a try. And thanks for creating the stadium chart. That's what I've been using for all the info. Great work.

Yes, that and the ballpark pictures and player photos - one heck of an effort, Gambo. Much appreciated.
