Playoff Seedings - Buy 8 Now or Wait

I purchased 2007 last summer and really enjoy "watching" a sim only league develop as a fan. The league that I built included over 200 teams (each from a town in NC/SC) and the playoffs consisted of a 64 team field.

Unfortunately, the seedings don't work properly for 2007. If the 1 seed and the 2 seeds both win in the first round, they would end up playing each other in the second round.

I know that the issue was logged, but I wonder if it was fixed for OOTP 8 or if I'd be better off waiting for the new version.

Oh... and in the interim, I've acquired a new laptop with freakin' Vista.

What should I do?

To my knowlage, playoff seeding was not fixed for 8. Either way I'd wait for 9 at this point, max less than 3 months (Well before All-Star game).

Get used to Vista, it's really not that bad as long as you have enough memory and either get used to the warnings or turn them off.
