Multiple seasons in one league?

I have an idea for a high school baseball league which would include the main season (February-June), a Summerball season (June-August) and a Winterball season (December-February).

These seasons would include the same teams and would essentially be in the same league. Could this be possible?

Do you require separate standings for each season within the year? I don't think you can do that. You could have all the seasons as part of one schedule, and then make your playoffs by hand.

The Summerball and Winterball seasons would in essence be exhibition seasons, so they wouldn't have a playoff. It's just a way for players to get extra experience on their belt, or in the case for Winterball, for the players to get ready for the regular season and for the coaches to scout what players they have available.

Well there you go. Make a standard schedule (regular season and playoff) for your main season. Then schedule everything else as exhibitions.

But my question more or less pertains if the game can create the exhibition seasons automatically and have its own standings rather than me creating game by game manually.

No. The game can't create any kind of interesting schedule automatically.

But, can you create a schedule file and then just import that every year?

I think the game has the option to let you have split season schedules. That may help you do this.

split-season leagues would require that both the first half and second halves of the season matter as each determines a playoff participant from a division.

Yes, assuming that this...

...doesn't mean that "real" exhibition games (scheduled, with effects on players, and cumulative stats) are not also available. See discussion here.

Are you talking about Winter Ball meaning Team send Players and Pitchers to the Teams?
