Great championship moments

I don't play out too many games in my season, but whenever I reach a "game 7" scenario I always play out and, if need be, jump in as manager in certain situations. In my last year, I had my team in game 7 at home. Come the bottom of the ninth, my team was losing 3-1. I had two outfielders up, both who had pretty good regular seasons but had struggled in the playoffs and the current game. I decided to pinch hit with both my backup SS and my backup catcher. They ended up both getting singles at the begginign of the inning, putting two on and sparking a rally which saw me tie the game. I ended up winning the game in the 11th when a rookie who I had given the DH role despite him having on 40 ML ab's hit a double and put the winning run on third. Next batter flies out to center and the run scores on an errant throw from the CFer.

In a different season, I had a young start shortstop who had struggled mightily and eventually got demoted. He had wicked power and was sick with the glove, so I kept him on the playoff roster as a defensive sub. In the bottom of the ninth, game seven in the championship, he comes up with two runners on after my team blew a three run lead to go down by two. He hits a walk-off homer, season over.

Its moments like these that really make the game worth playing. Even in games with graphics, for some reason the drama is never as high. What exciting moments have you experienced in the playoffs?

I remember one season, my team did fairly well, but I didn't think I would even make the playoffs. To my surprise, I squeezed via the wild card. Got all the way to game 7 of the world series. Bottom of the 9th, I was down by 1-2 runs (I don't quite remember) with 2 outs and one of my outfielders came up to bat and blasted one over the wall for the walk off homer and the championship. That was a pretty awesome feeling, so I know exactly what you're talking about
