I keep coaches, scouts and player morale off all of the time. I sometimes play with player personalities turned on, but not always.

I do the same, but I always have personalities turned on. I believe that things like intelligence & hard work affect other things in the game - like player development.

Agreed. I tend to keep it off when playing historically, however. I hate seeing a Ted Williams with a low Work Ethic, for example.

With the improved roster changes for OOTP 9 I might start a 2nd historical league. I'll have to remember your thought.

I personally find the current scouting system too much work, so I leave it on.
I used to used coaches, but after a while former players who become coaches start duplicating, and it throws me off, so I turn those off as well. I do use player personalities.
