Quick Question...

To whom it may concern...

I just purchased two copies of OOTP 9, from the pre-order email I just received.

I saved a copy of my order, however what happens next? I'm guessing when I download my copy(s) of the game, I'll just enter in my order-ID?

My question is, since I purchased two copies of the game, why did I only get 1 Order ID?

Thanks in advance.

Adam

I believe they send out your license ID's with the game release notifications on release day.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Well I put in a call to e-license too. So, once if/when I get a reply from them, I'll post whatever I learn, for anyone else who might order more than one copy.

Can't wait for more details on the improved/new features... and more importantly the release!

Anticipation is half the fun! I remember as a 10 year old when I asked for an APBA Football game for Christmas. My Parents ordered it in November. When it arrived they put it on the dining room table unopened. Every day for 6 weeks I would go into the dining room and stare at the unopened box. I read every label on the box dozens & dozens of times. The anticipation of opening that box is something I'll remember till the day I die!

DUDER!!! LOL!!! Great story! I recall a similar experience when I got a original Nintendo back in... '85 or '86, I think it was? Sweetness!

As far as I know, the "order id" and your "license number" are the same. The same number will work twice, when try to activate your games.

With each individual order, you get the "right" to activate two copies of the game. So with one purchase, you get one license, but you can use that license to activate two copies of the game. So are you saying that you paid one $25 fee, and the information you got said that you now get to run two copies of the game? That is normal procedure.

Or did you pay two $25 fees, and are expecting two separate licenses, in order to run four different copies of the game?

Yeah!
I was an APBA baseball fanatic in the 1950's and 1960's. Eight of us in high school had a league that we kept going after graduation (1960) until 1972. Quite a feat with everyone off to different colleges or other endeavors. We took turns running games with updates by mail and crammed LOTS of games in when everyone was home for summers or holidays. We even kept it going when two of us were in the Army (for me, 1966-1969). By 1972 we were down to four and called it quits.

The games were great fun. Manually keeping stats and box scores was a nightmare that we endured. I still have the all the stats we did - yeah, I'm a pack rat.

I never played any simulated baseball again until 2006 when I discovered OOTP on-line leagues. What a joy! Stats kept for you! No dice to roll! Everything viewable on-line!

I'm in two leagues and love them both.

Cheers

OK, here's an APBA Baseball true story that you can probably identify with...

I had been playing APBA Baseball all summer, and one evening I decided to play another game. I had devised a way to keep a complete box score on a standard 3x5 index card. During the 7th inning I had to look up a result on the result board. To my amazement, I discovered that I had forgotten to get the boards out. I had played the first seven innings of the game recalling all the results from memory!

They'll take care of you, they're good at working with customers and fixing situations like this.
