Questions about pre-order

I have a few questions about the pre-order and the game itself that I would like answered before I pre-order the game.

1. Will the Mac version have scroll wheel support?
2. Will the Mac version run without being connected to the internet?
3. When does the pre-order period end?

My concern is the email states:

Great news for the Mac fans
The Mac OS version is now a universal binary, meaning that Intel processors are directly supported. Our Mac beta team has been frankly astounded by the performance improvement. Speed has also been increased for PPC-powered Macs as well, and support for mouse scrolling on Macs has also been added!

There is no mention on the internet connection.
