screen visibility issues

OK, I've posted about this before, and now I have two screenshots to work with to make this point.

The highlighted lines in this image below:

make viewing the profiles, rosters, etc very easy. Whereas the older versions found in this image below:
http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/news...n3_example.jpg

are a major PITA, especially for certain screens.

Now I don't know if this is the difference between a few skins or not. But I will say that I think it would be a very wise decision to make those alternating lines the standard for screens such as lineups, rotations, rosters, etc - anywhere that you have a list of players to analyze.

It's nice in the profiles, but where it is truly needed is in the large list screens.

And I am thinking these alternating highlight lines might be part of the new 'Modern' skin? If so, then is there anyway we can take some of those values and input them into the old 'classic' as an alternate fourth skin? I think you would find that MUCHO players would love something like that.

Just getting it in now before final construction.

Personally never had a problem with either.

Some of the screens in 8 have the highlighted lines, such as minors, HOF. The thing is, when you sort the highlights move with the sort. That is to say, they are "glued" to the specific player. So when you sort, you might have 6 or 7 highlighted lines together and then 3 or 4 non highlighted together.

I wonder if the highlight lines can be "glued" to the page rather than the player.

Perhaps we are talking about two different things, but in the image below, I absolutely think alternating highlight lines are necessary. I don't feel I should have to drag my mouse across the screen, or slowly pan left-right to follow the values of a player so I can keep them in sync when I get to the far right.

Totally agree.. I also agree with BruceM in that the page should always stay as shown and the highlighted lines should NOT move when a list is sorted.

yeah, I believe that actually is an improper setting in the html or css or whatever when it does that. whatever defines the page attributes.
