Error: No Pitcher Available
I am getting an error message as I try to sim to the next day.
It says: HAWAII: no starting pitcher available. When I look at the roster it seems as though they hae enough pitchers, but it looks as though my College season is at an all-star game. I have seen posts about this before, but i can not find how to fix this through a search. Can someone help. Thanks. |

You don't give any information about your league, which is always helpful when asking questions. From what I can see, though, this problem has been usually encountered when using a modded quickstart or template.
For example, this thread was from somebody using a quickstart: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...available.html This one was from somebody using Skydog's template, and he got a suggestion on how to fix it: Any suggestions? Interestingly, the same guy posted the problem in here (#71) and rejoiced when it was resolved (#81): SkyDog OOTP2K7 Fictional League Settings, v1.0 WOB 2.0 also reported it (Hmmm, they mention a Hawaii League in there. Is this the quickstart that you are playing?): http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...on-thread.html And in this thread, bp_, the maker of the quickstart in the first thread, announces that he has fixed the problem: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...689-crash.html None of this may be helpful to you, unfortunately. However, if it is a modded quickstart or template that you are using, it may help to download it again to get the latest version, or merely to restart the one that you have. Hopefully somebody else will have more to add here.

Thanks... Had a look, but still can not seem to get it fixed.
It seems like it is a college all-star game and one of the rosters (Hawaii) does not have any players on its roster. Don't really know how to fill the roster and really do not want to start my career oer again. My file was originally a roster file - I think it was Cubby's Roster file. Would turnning ghost players on work - if so how do you do this. Thanks. |

It's kind of hard to tell what's going on, obviously. So, I will tell you where some options are and hope that they work. Back up your game first.
Select the league (top left) that Hawaii is in. Go to Game, Game Setup, League Setup, Functions, and try Fill Teams with Fictional Players first, and if that does not work, try Run Computer Manager on All Teams. If that does not work either, try turning on ghost players. I have a pictorial for that one: Something bugging me about Minors... Nobody else has chimed in, so Tech Support may be your last option if none of this works. Good luck.
