Girl Pounds Guy, Guy Goes on DL

This has probably been posted or alluded to a number of times prior, but it was too funny not to post. It looks like my league's San Diego Demons have issues with their left fielder.

If I were running that team, I'd have cut him, just because it's bad PR. It's not that I can't see it happening (the 'fairer' sex can be MEAN), but man, he'll never live that down.

Some of the off-the-field injuries are pretty funny. I'm pretty sure most of the really stupid sounding ones have happened in real life.

There was a "this is wacky but it really happened" injury thread a while back. Some of the injuries were LOL funny.

I remember in 1989 at the end of the season, in a critical final series with Toronto, Pete Harnisch was scheduled to pitch for Baltimore in the second to last game but stepped on a nail while walking to the hotel. Accident or sabotage? Those Blue Jays fans back then could be hardcore.

The Orioles lost the game and Toronto clinched.

Either way, wacky injuries definitely do happen.

That reminds me. When am I going to see your "because he partied like it was 1999" or something to that effect? Does the game year actually have to be 1999 to have that come up?

It has to be 1999 or later.

Geez, sorry for the sad topic title. Dunno what your prob is, because that's exactly what happened, but still, sorry. Man...

Update: they traded him prior the season starting. Just a coincidence, sure, but still funny.
