Because that's what Hamilton is known for: steel. Its nickname is 'Steel Town'. It had a soccer team called the Steelers. There was a brand of beer made there called Steeler...

Well, not a bad idea. Would the team colors be yellow and blue, like on the town's coat of arms?

I don't have a Halifax in this league.

Ok, that about settles the name for Hamilton.

I guess that would be as good a combo as any. Black and grey could work too, maybe. I'm not too good with colours though.

For Edmonton I like using the name Klondikes or Klondikers. It's similar enough to the Trappers so it feels right and Edmonton's major summer event used to be called Klondike Days.

Do whatever you like with it, makes no difference to me as I'm not interested in the quickstart anyway.

My original response was to KQ's suggestions, in particular the name "Navalists" for a Halifax team. I merely pointed out what I thought it should be and why.

I was born in The Hammer, lived there (or real close to it) for over 40 years.

Hamilton's sports teams have varied in colour, but I don't think anyone would argue that sports fans (and non-fans) in Hamilton identify with Black and Gold. The Tiger-Cats have existed there for over a century. For a sample of the colours, go here:
