Release Date

I hate to be the bad guy. But it is May. And many of us have pre-ordered. I think the Markus et. al. owes us some range of release date. Late May? Early June?

It is a rare thing for people to put down money on item that's date of release is nebulous.

This Spring....so wait until 21st June and then start asking again...
I'm also here waiting for any news they give us, but i don't think opening a new thread asking for a release date will help. But, if you get a response, i'm happy too!!!!

They come to those who are impatient too; they won't be getting the game any later than the rest.

I think it's reasonable to provide some idea of release date or update on status. Considering that pre-ordering has begun.

There's a very good reason they don't give a release date. If something comes up to delay that date, say a bug or glitch, even by one day, well. This place would be full of people screaming blue murder because the game wasn't released on time.

There's very few, if any, software companies that give a release date anymore. It's just too unpredictable.

That was well said.

It was The Lost Year. I spent that year simming historical leagues 100+ seasons at a time and checking the statistical results, rather than actually ever playing the game. Recoding the game entirely (or close enough to entirely) was a necessary step, however. I'll take one clunker in a series I've enjoyed this long.

No, that's the type of thing that's ruined these forums.

With one of the big features being a mlb quickstart it will annoy people who want to play the '08 season if this is not released till June or later.

Of course giving a spring release which we all expected anyways doesn't help since it could mean it's out next week or in over a month from now.

For me being a fictional player since my league doesn't follow the mlb schedule the only thing to do is try not to think about a new game too much and look for a mid June or later release and if it is released earlier, then that is a bonus.
