League Logo
I've commonly read that there was a way to upload a league logo but I've never seen where you can do it anywhere in the game. Does anyone have any idea how this is actually done? I'm setting up a new fictional league and want to use the feature.

Team logos will be automatically copied from your \data\logos folder if there is an exact match in team and logo file name, but not league logos. For some reason, a league logo has to be copied directly into your game folder here:
\data\saved_games\Major League Baseball.lg\news\html\images I leave out the initial part of the saved game folder address because it can vary; for most of us using Windows it's in your My Documents folder. Notice my game is called "Major League Baseball." The logo below is what I copied into the images folder and it appeared the next time that I started the game. Notice also that unlike the other images in this folder, the league logo does not use underscores for spaces in the file name. It is named "Major League Baseball.png," not "Major_ League_Baseball.png." Another head-scratcher that just is, that's all.

Where exactly should this custom logo appear in-game? I'm attempting this now with my "PEBA" league. I've inserted a custom logo into the "\images" directory named "PEBA.png", but I'm not seeing anything show up in-game. Also, my logo is sized 200x200 and I see yours is at 150x150. Will the game scale the logo down as needed?

Is your actual league name PEBA or is that an accronym for something? I believe the png file needs to be the actual full name of the league.
It shows up in news stories on the league home page. you know how when the story is about a team the team logo appears? well for things like "its opening day!", the league logo would show there. Also appears in the same position in the top banner on the League home page as team logos do on the team home pages.

Yeah, the league is actually named "PEBA" (the league folder is "PEBA.lg"). I'm not seeing the logo show up, though. Is "PEBA.png" the wrong name for my league, or do I need to place the file somewhere else besides the "\images" folder?

there are 2 images folders really...make sure as Yanks noted above you are putting it into the league specific images folder....\data\saved_games\PEBA.lg\news\html\imag es in your case.
Also, just to make sure, the .lg folder actually indicates the "universe" name. There can be multiple leagues within a universe. as long as your league is called PEBA as well then that folder above should be the right one.

Well I feel foolish... I was taking the "league name" to mean the "league folder name". But you're right: PEBA is an acronym for "Planetary Extreme Baseball Alliance", and when I changed the name it worked perfectly. Thanks for you patient explanations. Now I've got something new to play with!

It is indeed the logo we're using. You can thank trurthserum for that; it's his work and I agree it's beautiful. Both truth and knuckler did an amazing job creating art for PEBA teams. The level of creative talent (and generosity) over in the Logo, Graphics, and HTML sub-forum is out of this world.
