Manual FTP settings?

So...I'm experimenting with running OOTP in Linux, and the only thing that doesn't seem to work is FTP exports - the game doesn't report an error, but the exports are corrupted when they come through.

Apparently, the error the commish sees is "code 140 (human manager ID not recognized)".

I attempted to ftp my export through a stand-alone client, and kept getting rejected at the server.

Code:
ftp> open ftp.leagueserver.com
Connected to ftp.leagueserver.com.
220 FTP Server ready.
Name (ftp.leagueserver.com:eriq): ********
331 Password required for ********
Password: ********
530 Login incorrect.
Login failed
421 Services not available, remote server has closed connection
I suppose it's possible I was given an incorrect password, but assuming I wasn't - I even copied and pasted both the login and password to make sure I wasn't mistyping them.

Is there a specific port I need to be connecting to or something? I assumed that it was just the standard FTP port 21, unless this is an SFTP connection or something.

Any guidance or tips would be appreciated.

That's the same problem I've had on Linux as well and was never able to get it to work. I wasn't able to find directions on how to setup a commish server but if they are out there that should tell us.

Did you try SFTP by any chance?

I just did, actually. Port 22 never connects, which may just be a server-side thing.

bump

If anybody has any insight as to how OOTP handles FTP, I'd appreciate it.

OOTP still has problems with FTP. It can't handle a secure FTP connection, so I've never been able to use it with my web space. My guess is that it doesn't support your connection method either.
