OOTP8 and Tony Conigliaro
Been wondering how the game handles Tony C...
I have the ratings reset at 'Remaining Peak Years'. So does he just flame out as he did historically? I mean, if there aren't any remaining years to go by, does the game just drop all his ratings to basically nothing? Recalc = OFF Last edited by SittingDuck : 05-06-2008 at 08:16 PM. |

He sure flamed out in my league. Was good in 1970 but tailed off bigtime in 1971. Now he's sitting in my A-ball roster collecting dust, hitting homers but carrying a low average.
I don't know what my recalc settings are offhand tho - I'll have to check. |

I actually retract my initial statement.
I said Conigliaro had a great 1970, but I was wrong. He hit .184 with 10 HRs for Boston and New York. 1970 was when I started my league, and I believe my import settings were to have ratings based on "rest of career", but I'm not 100% positive. In that case, since 1970 was his last good year, that would explain why he didn't have a single good year in my league. I do have Recalc off, but since I imported him at the end of his career, it doesn't matter - he stinks. So my example isn't the best one for figuring out how the game deals with him. I'd be curious to see how someone who started in the mid 60s with Recalc off has him perform. |
