Assign imported players

Is there anyway to assign imported players to a team? I want to make a team of great players and play them against some current teams but am at a loss.

In Commish mode, go to the Free Agent screen and there should be an "Import Historical player" button or something like that. You have to know the player's Lahman id.

Once you import the player, you can click on him and go to the Editor tab of the player assign him to whatever team and salary you like. So it's very possible to do, it'll just take awhile to do it one by one.

I'm doing this all from memory, so apologies if I'm missing a step. But it's something along these lines.
