You do not have to use it, you can just "imagine" it.
I couldn't care less if there's 2D animation or not... I really don't care one way or the other. But I am the person that's spent the last 3 years fighting the current pbp... that's just text, and it's taken 3 years to get to the point you'll see in OOTP9. Surely anyone can see, if they take about 1.1 seconds to think about it, why I would see the possibility of 2D animation and do nothing but groan.

Makes no difference to me though. If/when it gets added... if I'm invited back to the beta for that version I'll rework the pbp text, and play a million games and log a million bugs trying to get it working just like I have the straight text pbp. Then I'll log on the day after release and read all the posts whining about it... it'll be fun.

It's what you learn after you know it all that counts.

And on the 40/page view, you got him onto page 6. Great job!

Bwahahaha!

Anyway, about the 2D. Perhaps when it is implemented there will be a vanilla OOTP that is a small download, and a larger download for those who want it.

One would hope so. The good news is at least we won't have to worry about that for a while but it is good to get the idea out there now.
