Attendance?

Why is every time I start a new game, the attendance capacities for the stadiums are alway set at 42000? Do I really need to go in a manually update the correct attendance capacities every time I start a new game?

Yeah, me too. This only happens if I start a game in a year before 2007. If the start year is 2007, all the teams stadiums have random capacities. So, if there is another way to have different capacities without going in each and editing, I do hope you'll share.

A branch off of this topic is my request in the last suggestion forum for minor league stadiums to scale off of the major league attendance settings so that my Single A stadium isn't housing the same 38,000+ my major leaguers are seating. Set averages, then scale down, much in the same fashion performance equivalencies do now.

I believe stadium sizes are based on average attendance when you create the league. If the average attendance is 200, then the stadium sizes will be smaller. Try that and report back.

I'm 99% sure this is not true.

I think they do that anyway.

Then my memory missed a version. Check and see what your attendance was in one of your last AA games.

I had my average attendance set at 3,000 and started in 1901. All new stadiums still had capacities of 42,000. Is this what you were asking???

It's not really that big of a deal, but I must admit it would be nice to have varying capacities in the case of starting in the 1980's when capacity figures might come into play. Obviously, in the situation I described above, none of the teams are going to run up against capacity limitations with an average capacity for all stadiums of 42,000 and average attendance of 3,000.
