PBP Slowdown in 8????

I play out all of my games, one pitch mode. Copied my league from 2007 to OOTP8. Continued my season, and noticed the PBP is slower. Not by a lot, but with the same settings (Short PBP, Very Fast Speed, Pause on Character) it is noticeably slower. Just to make sure, I went back and played a game on 2007 again and immediatly one on OOTP8. I saw comments earlier where the consensus was the sim speed in 8 improved, but I definitely noticed a slowdown in PBP speed. As I'm working off a 2.5GHZ system, it may be more noticeable to others so I wanted to ask if anyone else is noticing this???? I'm curious because I'm currently just playing daily games with a reserve roster and no minors. If the slowdown is real and noticeable, it may make me reconsider starting my next game with full minors. Thanks for any input.

Are you playing with the day's other games simming in the background? That affects PBP speed no matter how beefy your system.

Yeah, but I did it 2007 also. Like I said, same league, same exact settings, everything the same. Copied the league over from my 2007 folder to the OOTP8 folder.

Like I said, it's not drastic, but it is noticeable. In 2007, again using the exact same settings (Short PBP, Very Fast Speed, Pause after Character), after I clicked "Pitch" or "Swing Away", the words (result) would go by so fast underneath I could barely read them fast enough. Now, in OOTP 8, I notice the pause as slowdown as the words display in the PBP box. Not a huge difference, but it does make me wonder whether the difference would be drastic and frustrating if I did expand my universe.

Also, I'm curious because I couldn't find any other posts like this, which makes me wonder if there is something specific to my computer or setup causing it. Are there any other guys out there who play out every game and have upgraded to OOTP 8 from 2007????? If so, did you notice a slowdown as well????
