Baseball levels for nations
Now that multinational leagues will be a reality, I'd like to see something done about the Baseball Level numbers.
Currently, the game simply uses a number from 0 to 5, which is way too crude in my opinion: a 0-100 scale is much more appropriate. (If you want to see my two-year-old post in the subject, click here. The USA is at 100, Japan at 90, Cuba 88, etc.)

I also would love to see the funtion/option where you can characterize the players from the certain country/area, to make it more realistic. The level of the Japanese baseball may be equivalent to that of Cuban baseball IMO. However, the character of the typical players from two countries are totally defferent. Cuba: Tend to develop more hitters with power, more pitchers with velocity/movement (comparing to Japan) Japan: Tend to develop more hitters with better eyes, better patience, better bunting skill, more pitchers with better pitch command (comparing to Cuba) * Above are just my instant thoughts, and I know it could be nonsense to determine the character of the ball players by their countries. However I think it is great if we could somehow have the option to set them up.

I think that for all countries where we don't have enough information about the baseball players they produce, the game should resort to stereotypes. For example, the French could be really good at running, particularly when they are running away from something else. A tag, for example. New Zealand is the land of the hobbits so New Zealanders should have above-average plate discipline (due to their tiny stances). And so on. This would make people who are not from baseball-rich countries feel good about themselves because they are being counted.

Or are you suggesting frequency based on actual historical data? |
