OOTP 9, Past MLB players?

Hey Markus, was just wondering if past MLB players were gonna be in the game on the free agent list? Ohh i don't know... somebody such as "Chin Feng Chen" who used to play for the LA Dodgers?

I doubt you'll see that. But that's just my guess.

By the way, for the kind of money Chen is getting paid to play for the La New Bears, I doubt he's coming back to the US any time soon.

Probably not... Japan even wanted to sign Chen but he wanted to play in Taiwan and stick with his teammates for at least another year. It's too bad Chen never got a chance with manager, Jim Tracy, at the helm. He was such a huge prospect but over a span of 4 years he only got 22 at-bats, ridiculous. His 1999 minor league season was just amazing, .316, 31, 123, 31 sb

If it's like 8, it will come with a DB that has (I think) every MLB ever in it, you could use it to import any/all of them

I think he signed a 6-year, NT$30,000,000 contract with the Bears two years ago. That's the equivalent of around US$1,000,000. Comparing that to the cost of living in Taiwan, it might as well be US$30 million. My monthly expenses were around US$600 and I lived a pretty comfortable lifestyle. One could do pretty well on US$1 million per year.

Anyway, after Chen left the US, he promptly won the league MVP, led his team to the league championship, and also won the MVP award for the championship series.

Of course, that's not saying a whole lot. Nelson Figueroa won the CPBL Taiwan Series (championship series) MVP last season and now he's in the Muts bullpen sporting a 5+ ERA.

I saw Chen play last month. He really didn't do jack, though. That was kind of disappointing but at least the Bears won.
