The best pitching performance I've ever seen was in a modern league, guy had a 3 something ERA... but in a 5 man rotation he logged 31 wins.
Crazy injury prone maniac, spent his first 6 years getting 10 starts a season... then this 31 win season, followed by a 28 win, 25 win, and 3 straight 20-21 win seasons. Finished up with exactly 300 wins in his career.

Same League, different player, still pretty outstanding numbers.
This is pretty much the first "Nolan Ryan" type I've seen. (except not as wild) Dave Cantrell ![]() here are his post season numbers. ![]() Cantrell was outstanding through the 1960s. Unheard of amount of wins & strikeouts. He pitched 4 No-Hitters, but never a perfect game. ![]()
