Crazy Idea. Would it work?

Let's say that I wanted to create a league/universe for each state with, say, 64 teams in each one. If I simmed the season for each state/league/universe and at the end of the year, two teams qualify for the National Championships.

Would there be a way to "send" a copy of the 100 qualifying teams from their "home" universe to the newly created "National Championships" universe *IN THE SAME CONDITION THAT THEY ENDED THE SEASON*? That is, if the start date for the National Championships was a week after the individual state leagues ended, the injuries and fatigue that were slated to linger for more than a week would still be a factor? The only exception would be that the stats would revert to zero (so the all-time National Championships leaders could be tracked).

Basically, this would mimic the AAU-style baseball world to some extent. I just love the thought of being able to watch as literally thousands of teams start the season knowing that one team will eventually be crowned as champion.

Man, the more I type about this, the less chance there seems of something like this working.

Thoughts?

Sounds complicted. I don't know how the new playoff structure is gonna work in OOTP9 but maybe Round Robins are supported. That way have a division (or more) in each state with the winners playing a complicated set of Round Robins as its "second" before the winners move on to play in a playoff. Wait and see I guess.

It's a cool idea for a league / playoff system, whether it will be possible in ootp9 I don't know.

Nothing to add other than: that really would be cool.

What's the limit on divisions per league and teams per division again? Fifty each. Use two subleagues and you can have 100 divisions.

We know you'll be able to setup a playoff for the top two teams of each division. Unless you meant that your National Championships would be a season unto itself, rather than a tournament of single games or series.
