No Reply after Submitting an Offer?

I downloaded CBL 2008 Rosters and took control of the KC Royals. When I submit a trade, it gives me the normal message "You will hear back from the team soon". The problem is, I never hear back from them and the pending trade offer would just go away. I have my message settings to All from organization.

After doing a search here, I saw that using Commish Mode with "Act As" might cause this to happen, and that I needed to get "hired". So I changed "Act As" to none then enter the available jobs and applied/sign, it just changes back to 'Act As" and I still have the same problem as above???

What am I doing wrong. Do I need to disable commish mode? I could have sworn I was always able to play normal while using Commish mode in the past. This is 2007 latest version

Thanks

I've been trying to figure this out for a couple hours with no luck. Here are some other things I've tried.

1. Set all teams to CPU controlled (after doing this I went to available jobs and "applied as gm" to my team)
2. Set all CPU controlled teams to allow AI change
3. Ran CPU manager on all teams

I can make trades and shop players. But when ever I submit a trade, I never hear back from the team before the pending offer expires.

Any other ideas?

Edit: Never mind. I figured it out, I think. It had something to do with the fact that I created a new manager and deleted the default one. Had to do some weird stuff to get it working, but it's ok now... i think
