Question on player pictures

If i want to add a "real" player, and have his correct picture show up, how do i do this?
If i d/l a current face pack, and dump them in the photo dir will they get picked up? or do i have to use the "update/generate player pictures" button from inside game options?
I just want to ask before i do anything as i dont feel like wiping out all my head shots for defaults faces.

Thanks all.

I had no directory named that under any of my league files, only html and text(under the news dir).
So i made the dir, added the face packs and they didnt change anything, do i then have to run the update tool?

Is there a sticky on how to do this? i looked and did not find one.
All i want to do is update the faces, and have it stick faces on the "real" players i had manually added.
I am using the default 2007 install settings, so the photos are in the dir :

C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\Sports Interactive\OOTP Baseball 2007\data\photos

thanks!

I just recently started fooling around with women...er, I mean, an all-female baseball league. I downloaded an all-female face pack (with filenames Player_1, Player_2, etc.); how do I attach the pictures to the players? Do I have to change all the filenames to Firstname_Lastname?

That's probably the easiest way to do it. You can use player IDs, but that's a bit of a hassle.

We didn't have to do this in prior versions.

It was kind of nice to have the picture appear as soon as you copied it.
