Just release the information. We've got SkyDog posting screenshots, running sims, and releasing all sorts of beta testing information on the FOF forums. So why not let our own loyal OOTP forums posters and beta testers share some of their experiences?

Besides, I'm heading out of town for two days, I won't have Internet access, and I'd rather not find out about the news long after it's released.

This is an inspired idea.

Could it be this? (disclaimer, it is not in the game, just some Photoshop magic.)

I can certainly see the former. There's a viable playstyle that won't get any benefit from the feature we've been talking about.
I sure hope that playstyle isn't "Online league players"

We've been the redheaded stepchild for too damn long.

I would so love those, but I doubt it.

I doubt it's a remodeling of pitching because I think everybody would love that.

I think it might be in-game graphics of some kind because some people would love that whereas those who don't play out their games wouldn't care about it.

I say "it" because from the comments it seems that one is a pretty big deal and one must be so small that nobody can remember it.

Well, they've got my attention.

I never got ITP as I thought it looked a little too silly, but recently it seems people have been talking about how they've been missing stuff like having kids in the game. It might be something along these lines, but then again I don't really see guys like Erik or John getting all that excited over that stuff.

Ooo, speech pbp. That'd be pretty cool if it was done well. It probably wouldn't be too hard to do either. Speech technology has gotten a lot better than it was say a decade ago.

I loved ITP until it was figured out that you could do an ultimate workout plan and your guy would be a Hall of Famer no matter what. It kind of killed it for me, because if I used that workout plan, the game was too easy, and if I didn't use that plan, I swam in mediocrity while knowing I could be a Hall of Famer if I just turned to the Cheese Side.

It's pretty lame in Puresim 2007, though. Don't know how much its gotten better since then. In fact, when the announcer in Puresim tries to pronounce some of the names of those players, it sounds almost exactly like that old DOS program back in the late 80's that came with some sound cards.

Me thinks that was the point. Got mine too, and I've already pre-ordered. Just wondering the impact on those fence sitters. Oh well, like I said, me thinks that was the point.
